Florida Nurse Bites and Strangles Uber Driver
MrMikeFrost St Petersburg, Florida - A 55-year-old nurse attacked an Uber driver by scratching, choking and biting him on April 17. Michael Hassey Jr, 22, responded to a ride request in front of Cask Social Kitchen in Tampa around 5 pm when the incident happened.
The nurse, identified as Michele Stilwell, fell asleep in his car while he was driving. However, she suddenly woke up and began to attack him. Stilwell reached forward from the back passenger seat and wrapped both her hands around the driver's neck while screaming, "My daughter". He pulled over and tried to get away, however, the nurse crawled forward and bit "deeply" into his chest and scratched his chest.
She "continued to bite, strangle and claw at the victim, who was unable to defend himself," police said in their arrest report.
"I let it happen. I didn’t put my hands back on her because I have two sisters and I was raised to never put my hands on a female."
The cops believe that Stilwell was intoxicated at the time of the incident. An Uber spokesperson said in a statement, "What’s been described is disturbing. Violence of any kind is not tolerated on the Uber app, and we immediately removed the rider’s access as soon as this was reported to us."
Stilwell, who is a registered nurse in Florida, with 25 years of experience, has been charged with aggravated battery and tampering with a witness. She was later released on a $15,000 bond.
