Kodak Black and his legal team sent a petition to President Donald Trump asking to commute Kodak's sentence. Bradford Cohen, one of Kodak's lawyers, states that the 46 month sentence for his federal gun case is excessive and exceeds the average 18 months for this typical offense.
Jonathan Schwartz, also Kodak's lawyer, expressed that he's being unfairly punished for an assault on a Miami prison guard last year, in which Kodak was allegedly drugged and setup. Kodak has been locked down since last September and is still unable to talk or visit with anyone other than his lawyers.
Kodak Black is asking Trump to commute his sentence and consider the abuse he is experiencing in prison. From beatings at the hands of the guards to suppression of religion, Kodak is crying out for help.
